We Are Our Father's Children
Do you remember growing up that every New Year's Day - or the nearest Sunday - we would all sit down and make goals? Sometimes Dad would write them on the chalkboard. Sometimes we would write them out on our own and help our younger siblings. I can remember writing on Keira's goal list one year, "Get rid of warts!". (She had warty fingers. Seriously.)
I have read and heard repeatedly that you are more likely to keep a goal if you share and have to give updates on said goals. So, here's the challenge: Please share up to 3 goals that you are striving for this year.
Some ideas for goal success are; 1) Be specific. If you want to lose weight make a specific attainable goal (5 to 10 lbs) so if you exceed it you are happy(ier) about the results. 2) Be accountable. Find a buddy (i.e. sister!) to check in with on a scheduled/regular basis. 3) Talk about what is working and what isn't and make sub-goals to reach main goal.
